Philip Macartney

IRP Commerce Chief Commercial Officer Philip Macartney is quickly becoming one of the trusted voices of authority within the e-commerce industry in Northern Ireland. He spent the last 20-years working in senior positions in Dublin, London and Copenhagen, all of which has given him an international perspective on what Northern Irish e-commerce operations could and should strive for.

His early career took off in 2001 when he started at successful Dublin radio station FM104 as sales manager before moving on to become Head of Ireland for the social network Bebo in 2008. After moving to London in 2011, he worked in various consulting roles before moving to Denmark as Global Head of Social and Content for Saxo Bank. He went on to Head up EMEA for Marketing Data company Affinio.

Snapped up by IRP Commerce as Chief Commercial in 2020 to lead a commercial team of ten from its Belfast Titanic Quarter office, he has used his can-do attitude, wealth of experience and track record of delivering results to hit the ground running and Under his guidance, IRP has seen significant growth in sales and new clients while his introduction of a new Customer Success team has seen IRP clients improve their profitability and growth dramatically since he started the role last summer.

Targeting primarily B2B and B2C retailers, manufacturers and distributions, IRP Commerce has been at the forefront of e-commerce in Ireland for the past 20 years having transacted more than £1.2 billion for its customers during this time.
